Why begin here?
Our classical strings program develops posture, tone, intonation, reading, listening, and expressive playing in a path shaped around each student. Older children, teens, and adults can begin directly with the instrument that excites them, whether they are new, returning, or preparing for school and ensemble opportunities.
For a five-year-old who is not yet ready for a larger instrument, ukulele can be a friendly starting point. It makes rhythm, melody, chords, and coordinated finger movement immediately accessible before the student moves toward violin, viola, cello—or another string path.
