Brass
Trumpet, trombone, tuba, baritone, French horn, and euphonium each need knowledgeable, instrument-specific guidance. OMS gives brass students access to specialists who understand both their instrument and the ensembles they hope to join.

Why begin here?
Whether a student plays trumpet, trombone, tuba, or baritone, the goal may be to thrive in school band, earn a stronger chair placement, prepare for marching season, audition for All-State or an honor ensemble, or work toward a youth symphony. We build the fundamentals underneath those goals—breathing, embouchure, tone, range, articulation, reading, and musical confidence.
Our teachers are active professionals who specialize in brass instruments and understand how local programs work. Close awareness of school expectations helps lessons support—not compete with—the student’s band director.

Instrumental and vocal study combine listening, movement, attention, memory, reading, timing, and emotional expression. Research on music training suggests that sustained practice can be associated with measurable changes in auditory, motor, and cognitive development. We present these findings carefully: music is valuable in itself, and every student develops differently.
