I could have stayed on the familiar path, but I chose Scotts Valley.

Dear Scotts Valley,

My life in music has taken me from the stage to the classroom, through years of work growing the San Jose Youth Symphony, and into a community of artists and educators whose respect means the world to me. I’ve been a member of the Music Teachers’ Association of California since 1999. I also founded a nonprofit that brings in thousands of dollars each year to help make music education more affordable for families.

I love the school I’ve built. And still, my thoughts keep bringing me back to Scotts Valley—the place where my children grew up and where I have long imagined building something extraordinary.

At our San Jose studio, three recitals a year give students a reason to celebrate what they’ve learned together.
